History

The Society of Sisters of the Holy Cross was invited to India from Switzerland by the Maharaja of Travancore in the year 1906 in order to work in the Government hospitals of Kerala. In the year 1970 Sisters were invited to Karnataka by the then Bishop of Mysore and they pitched their tent in a remote village called Kamagere, and started a dispensary to provide health care to the under privileged and marginalized sections of the Society. Gradually this tiny mustard seed of Dispensary took deep roots and branched out to be a full grown tree of Hospital. Today it has become a 150 bed NABH accredited Multispeciality Hospital with specialists and special facilities. Today the name of the Hospital is written down in the history in golden Letters as it reached its 50 years of service
